In New York City in 1903, the Telescope Cot Bed & Novelty Company started manufacturing cots and campstools with “telescoping” legs that gave the fledgling company its unique name. Now, 109 years later we are featuring our beautiful Brio Collection overlooking a midtown Manhattan that looks decidedly different than when we first started our company. In addition to our factory in midtown Manhattan, Telescope’s sawmills were located in Pennsylvania until 1921 when Telescope moved to the lush countryside of Granville, New York. Telescope has always been self sufficient, which has allowed us to remain competitive in today’s market by responding quickly and finding innovative methods for manufacturing. For over 100 years Telescope has remained a remarkably successful family owned business currently managed by the fourth and fifth generation.

For over 65 years, O.W. Lee has been dedicated to the design & production of fine, handcrafted casual furniture. From their 157,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Ontario, California, artisans combine centuries-old techniques with state-of-the-art equipment to produce beautiful casual furniture.
Truly an American family tradition, OW Lee Company was established in Pasadena, California, by Oddist W. Lee in 1947 as a wrought-iron gate manufacturer for the luxurious estates of Southern California. Due to increased requests from local patio furniture store owners, Oddist began to design and sell high-end patio furniture directly. In 1954, he incorporated under the name OW Lee Company.

We take extra steps in the metal finishing stage to prepare the product for painting and then our paint system uses an 8-stage cleaning system to accomplish a very smooth finish and excellent adhesion of the powder coat base. The antiquing and finally the clear coat paint bring it all together for a product that stands out in any outdoor room.
